Tire Manufacturer warranty

Effective Date: 06/23/2024 Last Updated: 04/25/2026

Da Offset LLC sells tires from manufacturers that stand behind their products. This page explains how tire manufacturer warranties work, how to file a claim, and the role Da Offset plays in the process. For our broader return and refund rules, see our Returns Policy. For our overall liability terms, see our Terms of Service.

A few things to know up front:

  • The warranty is from the manufacturer, not Da Offset. Da Offset acts as a liaison between you and the tire manufacturer to file and follow up on warranty claims.
  • Warranty resolution is determined by the manufacturer. We cannot guarantee a particular outcome.
  • Typical timelines run 30 to 90 days from claim submission to resolution. Some claims resolve faster; complex cases can take longer.

1. Coverage Period

Tire warranty terms vary by manufacturer, brand, and model. Common categories include:

  • Treadwear / mileage warranty (where offered): a stated number of miles the tire is expected to last (for example, 50,000 or 80,000 miles)
  • Materials and workmanship warranty: typically 4 to 6 years from the date of purchase
  • Limited road hazard coverage (where included as part of the manufacturer warranty): typically 1 to 2 years or until 50% tread wear, whichever comes first

Refer to the warranty documentation included with your purchase or the manufacturer's website for the exact terms applicable to your tires.

2. What's Covered

Tire manufacturer warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use. Common covered conditions include:

  • Tread separation
  • Sidewall bulges or blisters not caused by impact
  • Belt or ply separation
  • Premature uneven wear caused by a manufacturing defect (rare; most uneven wear is alignment-related)
  • Other manufacturing defects identified by the manufacturer

3. What's NOT Covered

Tire manufacturer warranties typically exclude:

  • Road hazards: punctures, cuts, impact breaks, slices from nails, glass, potholes, debris, or curb damage. Some manufacturers (or third-party programs purchased at the time of installation) offer separate road hazard protection. Road hazard programs are not the same as the manufacturer warranty.
  • Improper installation: mounting damage, bead-seating issues, valve stem failures from incorrect installation
  • Improper inflation: under-inflation or over-inflation damage (always run the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressure)
  • Overloading: exceeding the load rating stamped on the tire sidewall
  • Misuse: racing, off-road use beyond the tire's intended scope, drag racing, or competition use
  • Vehicle issues: alignment problems, suspension damage, balance issues, or worn vehicle components causing irregular wear
  • Cosmetic conditions: ozone cracking, weathering, or aging that does not affect performance
  • Vandalism, accidents, fire, or other external damage
  • Tires purchased outside Da Offset or from unauthorized retailers
  • Tires that have been altered, retreaded, or repaired improperly

4. How to File a Claim

To start a tire warranty claim:

  1. Email info@daoffset.com with:

    • Your order number and date of purchase
    • The brand, model, size, and DOT number of the tire (the DOT number is stamped on the sidewall)
    • A description of the issue, including when it was first noticed and the current mileage
    • Photographs of the affected area in good light, with the DOT number visible
    • The vehicle make, model, and year the tire was used on
    • Whether the tire is still on the vehicle or has been removed
  2. We review the claim and prepare the package for the manufacturer, including any additional documentation the manufacturer requires.

  3. The manufacturer makes the final determination. Most manufacturers require physical inspection of the tire. We will provide return shipping instructions when needed.

  4. Resolution is communicated through Da Offset. Once the manufacturer issues a decision, we will relay it to you and coordinate next steps.

Typical timeline: 30 to 90 days from claim submission to resolution. Cases that require physical inspection by the manufacturer take longer than paper claims.

Do not dispose of the tire until the claim is resolved. Discarded evidence cannot be inspected, and the claim will be denied.

5. Resolution Options

Depending on the manufacturer's determination, resolution may include:

  • Replacement with the same or comparable tire
  • Prorated credit based on remaining tread (typical for partial-life claims)
  • Full or partial refund to the original payment method
  • Denial if the manufacturer determines the issue is not a covered defect

The final decision rests with the manufacturer.

6. Da Offset's Role and Limitation of Liability

Da Offset acts as a liaison between you and the tire manufacturer. We do not manufacture tires, and warranty coverage and resolution are determined entirely by the manufacturer.

Our overall limitation of liability is set out in Section 17 of our Terms of Service and applies to all warranty claims. Beyond facilitating the claim and following up on your behalf, we are not liable for delays, denials, or partial resolutions issued by the manufacturer.

7. Updates to This Page

We may update this page from time to time as manufacturer terms or our internal processes change. The version posted here on the date of your purchase governs your warranty experience.
